Dan Roberge
Hello, Joel. Thank you for joining us. Who are you and what do you do?

Joel Velazco
Yeah, I'm with TicketSpice. We help event operators, sports facilities, youth sports, all things festivals, anything ticketed. We support everything from presale, to onsite operations, to scanning and marketing.

Dan Roberge
Okay, so how does it work? So pre-sale, you have an event that you want to plan. What happens? How do you get involved, and how do you help promote it, and so on?

Joel Velazco
Yeah. So we work directly with owner operators and general managers that are really looking to streamline their online ticketing for particular special events, tournaments, spectator admissions. We even work with some of the ice rinks here. And so we really specialize in conversion. You know, ticketing is often the last thing you think about. But it should be the first thing you think about. So we want just to offer a solution that is streamlined and simple. That's really cost effective. And just drives more revenue for the business.

Dan Roberge
Perfect. So let's say I have an event, and I create a web page for it. That's my responsibility. I have a link that says buy tickets here. And then what happens? You guys take over from there? Is that how it works?

Joel Velazco
Yeah exactly. So we will take that purchaser through the purchase flow. And then we send them a QR code with a confirmation receipt. They get additional details about the event. And then from there they can find their way to the event. We have the apps that facilitate onsite redemption, like the access control. So we'll check those folks in, if there's people that show up to the event that didn't buy in advance, we also have the tools that will allow them to buy on site. So if it's cash, or credit, or debit, you can make that that process happen. But then the actual funds, we direct deposit to the event organizer. So we handle all the payments.

Dan Roberge
Nice, nice. And so when somebody shows up there, you said you have the hardware to scan them in to the event. So what does that look like? Do they put it on their phone? How did the spectators come in?

Joel Velazco
So when you buy it, you you'll get an instant confirmation, but also an email. So at that point, you can add your tickets to your Apple Wallet. And then you can save your tickets there, pull them up when you arrive at the event, show your QR code, QR code with their tickets there. But really you can do once you buy, you can do whatever you need to the ticket. So you could email it off. Like if you bought it a for a group of friends, you could email off that individual ticket to Dan. Or I can, you know, just have them on my person. And then if I don't have. What's cool about our system, though, is if you lose your tickets, or you can't find them, the operator can actually search you by name. So you can look up the order, and just check them in.

Dan Roberge
Now does your system allow for, let's say, seating, or different seating costs, and these are my seats and so on? How did they interact with the map of the location? How do you do that?

Joel Velazco
Good question. Yeah. So we do what's called reserved seating. So it's assigned seats basically. And there's a lot of events that prefer that for some of their VIP or Premier style seats. So they tend to cost a little bit extra because, you know, you're getting like the best of the best spot, as long as you have some type of visual that allows you to map out what those seats are, and where they are, we can just build that out for you, and just basically replicate your venue or stadium. Yeah, it's been really cool, and it's all mobile compatible. So whether you're on a desktop, if you're on your phone, you can go in and pick, hey, I want seats A1 and A2.

Dan Roberge
It really adds a level of professionalism to whatever event you're doing, whether even if it's a one off, like you said. So what's the coolest event you've done? Like, can you think of something that's been the coolest thing that you can think of?

Joel Velazco
Oh man. When I first came on, I was the account manager for the pro motocross series. They're actually a customer again. And it's an outdoor pro motocross track, like motorcycles. And what's cool about that was it was in different states, in kind of the middle of nowhere. A lot of these tracks have not great reception, but really loyal, dedicated fans. So, some of these events would see anywhere from 15,000 to 50,000 fans come out across three to four days. And that was a really cool experience, and seeing our system and technology used across the nation, and different states was a really cool. But they use everything. They use their general admission. And they use all of the tools that we had there, like the reserved seating, like the scanning, even our marketing tool. So we do have, email components and SMS components that give you better reach, give you more opportunity to get in front of your customer base.

Dan Roberge
Amazing. Well, that's very great to learn about. And so tell me where people can find out more if they want to get your service.

Joel Velazco
