Hello, Joe. We talked a few times now, and on this podcast we're going to cover some new ground. But first, before we get started, maybe you can introduce yourself, talk about your company and what you guys do.
Joseph Bilik
Wonderful. Hello, Dan. Good to see you again. So I'm Joe Bullock. I'm the CEO and founder of Bluebird Procurement. And Bluebird is a strategic sourcing consultancy firm where we manage facility operations for our clients. So we specialize in all operating services throughout facilities. And we help, owner operators best manage those vendor partners, at their facilities.

And so you do full scope, either sometimes maybe just one or two services to the entire, we take care of your entire facility basically.
Joseph Bilik
Absolutely. Yes. It's very customizable by the need of the client. So some clients do have in-house janitorial teams and they don't have an HVAC technician, for example. So we can certainly carve out category by category the needs of the client and address accordingly.
Dan Roberge
Perfect. And so now we've been talking about, you know, kind of mixing your services with the Maintenance Care platform and maybe tell me a little bit about your vision of how you see the benefits for the end user, our customers and your customers as doing that together.
Joseph Bilik
Wonderful. Now, again, this is an exciting time because Bluebird has been meeting and looking for a strategic partner on the platform side of things. And so when you and I started talking, I really see the opportunity of having Maintenance Care as our core repository for all things maintenance management so often, and facility managers and portfolio managers will attest to this. Often information and data is very fragmented across their organization. Not understanding what equipment resides in a portfolio is really, flying blind to be honest, when it comes to maintaining a property. So having a repository of all assets, all contracts, all preventative maintenance schedules, all in one repository and a platform is a is a massive benefit. That visibility in and of itself to proactively manage their portfolio is a huge value. So I'm excited that Bluebird and Maintenance Care are partnering to offer this joint partnership for our clients. And I certainly know that clients will appreciate the added visibility and the visibility in itself of of the solution.
Dan Roberge
Well, absolutely. I mean, I can imagine a scenario where, one of your vetted vendors, let's say HVAC, you know, is familiar with the Maintenance Care platform. If the customer is our customer using Maintenance Care already, let's say, and your vendor can help provide information to that end user already, because they're familiar with the platform, they're able to to get our customer's data the way they like to see it, and the way it has to be seen within the platform. So it's a huge benefit for the end user to use your services, because your your vendors are going to be able to interact with our platform in that.
Joseph Bilik
Right. And not only the reactive portion of maintenance. So like not only preventative maintenance or one off repairs, but forward capital planning as well. You know, the life of that rooftop unit at a facility, often operators have no idea of the lifespan or when is the best time to invest in a capital project versus the ongoing operating expenses. So really having that strategic partner, to guide clients through the planning, maintenance, both reactive and proactive, and then have the platform, with that visibility, is, you know, again, just ties everything together, which is wonderful.
Dan Roberge
And that's your background. I mean, the level of expertise that you can bring to a customer where they're looking at, should I replace or repair this piece of equipment? When do we plan ahead of time? Where, you know, how much of a budget do I need for, you know, my roofing, my windows, whatever it is. And you're able to bring that type of information to them, and offer those services if they require that.
Joseph Bilik
Yeah, that that long term view is critical. Often short term strategy really gets done really quickly if you don't have that long term vision, you know, a reactive roof replacement emergency is a lot more expensive than a five year plan for a roof, and have it done in a more strategic and timely manner. So yes, that proactive-ness of managing assets, through the visibility, in Maintenance Care, is going to be a game changer for clients.
Dan Roberge
Well that's great. I mean, I think this is valuable information for our customers to know, and to know about your services, because everybody has specific needs, whether it's for the entire facility management itself, or just some areas where they lack some expertise. And that's where your company can shine. And because of this partnership that we're creating, that just ends up benefiting everybody, including our customers.
